Serendipity is just a short walk from the villa I’m leasing in Kamburugamuwa, and it has quickly become my favorite spot for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant boasts a stylish interior, beautifully integrating the pool and ocean as a stunning backdrop.

The food and beverages are exceptional; I’ve tried nearly every dish on their menu, and each one has been a delight. Beyond the cuisine, the service is genuinely warm and friendly; I’m always greeted graciously, which makes every visit feel special.

As a practical bonus, they accept Apple Pay, which has been incredibly convenient during my stay. Serendipity is truly a highlight of my time in Sri Lanka, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We went for dinner. Romantic place with a lot of choices even for vegan people. The manager is very nice, polite and kind. He explained us all the menu, the food was very tasty. We ended up taking a lot with him. Very pleasant dinner.

Relaxed small Hotel. We spent 17 nights there, it became our home for this period 🙂 we had room with balcony and beach view, it was clean and the bathroom modern. There is a big, quite calm beach at the hotel (not crowded). We spent a lot of days relaxing there on Serendipity beach seatsacks. I rented a surfboard, approx 50 meter walking distance down the beach from the hotel you have a nice break (reef). The locals come there to surf. Ruwan and the team helped us a lot, they are extremely friendly and nice and are did the best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The Restaurant is very good as well. We can absolutely recommend the place.

We stayed there for 5 nights, and it was just majestic.. the hospitality was too good.The view ,the pool and the cocktails were amazing and we spent the best time in that property.
Special mention- Ruaan ,the property manager was just great and always ready to help for anything, even going out of way for any of our requirements..I highly recommended this beautiful getaway..❤️

Staff was extremely friendly, food was SUPER, the only downside is that it’s a few kilometres away from Mirissa. But, the staff will happily help you get a tuk tuk to take you into town. Very happy with the experience.

Great place. Away from the crowds, but not so far away, that your lost! A boutique hotel, with very friendly and warm staff.

A special mention to Ruwan, the Manager. Extremely efficient, with a broad smile always to greet you!

And if you need a tuk tuk, ask for Madhu, another great guy!!

Нам очень понравилось, это было лучшее решение, выбрать именно этот отель на нашу часть отдыха в Мириссе. Расположение прекрасное, вдали от шума самой Мириссы, вокруг нет толп людей, очень тихо, атмосферно, камерно. Да, надо брать тук-тук до центра, местные водители загибают цену до 1000 рупий, но иногда можно выловить PickMe по цене в два раза дешевле, либо заказать там же машину, они приезжают гораздо охотнее. Нам было вообще не критично, вечернее спокойствие, когда мы буквально одни плавали в бассейне и наслаждались полной тишиной вокруг, только музыка и звуки работы самого отеля, было гораздо ценнее близости к центру. Это какой-то уникальный опыт, причём цена более чем приемлемая. Мы брали номер с видом на океан, вот надо брать именно его, вторая сторона выходит на шумную дорогу. Сам отель очень камерный, всего 6 номеров, постоянно складывалось ощущение, что всё только для нас, потому что с другими гостями мы редко пересекались. Номер очень уютный, каждый вечер мы выходили сидеть на балкон и слушать шум волн. Завтраки очень классные, но порции немного маловаты 😅 На выбор 4 вида завтраков, мы всегда брали скрэмбл или омлет с грибами и панкейки с арахисовой пастой. Также приносят по тарелке фруктов, воду и соки. Ресторан при отеле хоть и недешёвый, но шикарный, точно стоит внимания. Брала томатный суп с морепродуктами и лаймом — 100/10, а ещё карпаччо из тунца. Ну что ж, этого тунца я ела потом почти каждый день... Просто невозможно вкусный, лучшее блюдо из тунца, которое я пробовала на Шри-Ланке. Бар хороший, коктейли вкусные, могут немного поменять относительно ваших предпочтений. Персонал это отдельная тема. Настолько милые, приятные, улыбчивые люди, мне было очень грустно с ними прощаться. Также на территории часто можно увидеть крабиков, ящерок 💔 Территория ухоженная, хоть и небольшая, но там можно спокойно провести целый день.

A lovely little boutique hotel. Really enjoyed the stay and the privacy. A very quiet beach and a little swimming pool to use. The room was very clean and the staff do a great job in cleaning. Ruwan and his staff were all excellent. They all made us feel very welcome. I would definitely go again.

A beautiful place to enjoy the beach, with the bonus of a pool where you can swim and relax. The beach is quiet and almost empty, which makes it perfect if you’re looking for peace and a place to unwind. Honestly, it’s highly recommended for relaxing.

The mocktails were okay—not amazing, just fine. They arrived a bit warm, which isn’t ideal when it’s so hot, but it wasn’t a big problem. Everything else about the place was truly wonderful.

Wij hebben een aantal nachten in het hotel verbleven. Hier werkt een manager die super goed is en weet wat je als gast wilt. Hij heeft ons geweldig voorzien van service met zijn team. Ze hebben een heerlijk verrassend menu wat gemaakt wordt door een geweldige chef-kok. De kamers zijn schoon en luxe, het gehele hotel is vrijwel nieuw en elke dag wordt er gewerkt aan een nog betere service!

Serendipity Mirissa is one of the best places to live in Mirissa. Ruwan is an amazing manager who will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Stay here and have some of the greatest vacation time.

Ruwan was also ready to help set up a greay proposal event for me - and he arranged everything amazingly .
